RADIOHEAD:

important influence on Muse (and many other bands). At the start Muse had to justify themselves because of permanent comparisons to Radiohead - Matt's voice and their producer John Leckie ("The Bends") were only a cheap excuse for stereotyped thinking. After "Origin Of Symmetry" the journalists changed their minds and stopped pigeonholing Muse as Radiohead-copy.


RADIO ONE:

especially Steve Lamacq was an early supporter of Muse and gave them lots of airplay after listening to the "Muscle Museum EP".


RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE (RATM):

Matt adores the guitarist Tom Morello.


RANDOM 1-8:

an exclusive Japanese b-side collection, consisting of 6 studio-tracks, 2 live-tracks, and finally 3 hidden tracks (= the Sunburn remixes).


RAZOR BLADES (AND GLOSSY MAGAZINES):

working title of "Screenager".

support band of Muse.

b-side of the "Unintended" CD1 single. Also released on the "Hullabaloo Soundtrack".

REEVE, PAUL:

engineer of the Sawmills studio. Worked closely together with Muse during the making of “Showbiz” and “Origin Of Symmetry”.
